AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To inculcate the love for our country Uganda
- To create public awareness about the merits of patriotism in our nation Uganda.
- To integrate all the people of Uganda be it in any district and any region while at the sometime recognizing the existence of their ethnic, religion, ideological, political and cultural diversity.
- To see to it that national unity, peace and stability prevails in our nation Uganda.
- To create in the citizens the desire to protect and defend our boundaries.
- To create in the citizens the desire for conservation of our resources and put limitations on there over exploitation.
- To initiate developmental projects like poutray, etc
- To create harmony and peaceful political environment.
- To promote a culture of cooperation, understanding, appreciation, tolerance and respect for each others’ custom, tradition and beliefs.
- To alert the government on the outbreak of any hazard or disaster arising out of national calamities or any situation resulting in general displacement of people or serious disruption on their normal life.
- To promote and preserve the cultural values and practices which enhance the dignity and well being of Ugandans;
a) To encourage the development, preservation and enrichment of all Ugandan languages and the national language.
b) And also encourage the cultural songs, dances, and other related activities. To work hand in hand with the medical services to ensure the provision of basic medical services to the population.
- To eradicate the evils of corruption in our country.
- To discover and promote the talents of the youths for a better tomorrow.
- To motivate the people on how to apply their talents for job creation.
- To provoke the youths in applying whatever they studied to their career quests.
- To create public awareness about the dangers of HIV/AIDS.
- Linking youths and old to know how to make peace and happiness from within.
- To take all practical measures to ensure that clean and safe water management systems are provided at all levels and well cared for.
- To take appropriate steps to encourage people to grow and store adequate food;
a) To establish national food reserves [regional food reserves] and
b) To encourage and promote proper nutrition through mass education and other appropriate means in order to build a health environment.
- To insight people achieve excellence and personal effectiveness in whatever they do.
- To endeavor to invite successful people of different discipline and denomination to share their experience in life.
- To encourage touring in different places in order to broaden members’ view about patriotism.
- To encourage debate on life and the way forward.
- To coordinate with the R.D.C in their respective districts and also to make sure that our activities are in line with their programs and also within the objectives and direct principals of patriotism [state policy].
